LintelPractice

A small, deliberate practice

Lintel Practice is an independent executive coaching practice working with a limited number of senior leaders at a time, from London and remotely.

01 Position

One kind of work, done carefully

The practice takes a narrow position on purpose. It works with leaders whose remit has recently widened, and it declines work outside that, including team facilitation, training programmes, strategy consulting and keynote speaking. That is not because those are lesser, but because doing one thing well requires refusing the rest.

The name refers to a lintel: the beam that carries the weight above an opening so the opening can exist at all. It is a fair description of what a coach does during a transition, and a fair limit on it. The beam is not the building.

02 Credentials

Verified directly, not asserted here

Coaching is an unregulated field, which makes published credentials easy to inflate and hard for a buyer to check. This site therefore publishes no accreditation badges, membership marks, client names, logos, testimonials, case studies or years-of-experience figures.

Instead, professional background, qualifications, professional-body membership and supervision arrangements are provided in writing on request, in a form you can verify with the awarding body yourself, before any engagement is agreed. Ask for it in your first message. It is the right question to ask any coach.

  • Supervision

Professional supervision arrangements are disclosed at contracting, along with what is discussed there and how your anonymity is protected.

  • Insurance & contracting

Professional indemnity details and the standard engagement agreement are provided with any proposal.

  • Referral

Where a need sits outside coaching, we will say so and, where possible, suggest a more appropriate professional.

Practicalities

Sessions are held by video, or in person in London where that is practical for both parties. Scheduling works across UK and European time zones; engagements elsewhere are considered where the time difference still allows a sensible rhythm.

Correspondence is answered by the practice directly. There is no intake team, no automated funnel and no chatbot, which is also why a reply takes a little longer than an autoresponder would.
